BREWERY REPRESENTATIVE - SAN FRANCISCO
Temescal Brewing is looking for an ambitious and enthusiastic Wholesale Brewery Representative to join our small-but-mighty self-distribution team!

The Role
We are seeking an ambitious and enthusiastic salesperson to represent Temescal beer here in our local market. This person will be an integral piece in our small-but-mighty self-distribution team and instrumental in building our presence at wholesale accounts in San Francisco, Peninsula the South Bay. Our perfect candidate will be a people-person with previous outside sales experience and a strong familiarity with the beverage industry. This role is 90% field-based, and we need someone who can make a plan, work independently, and thrive in a role where no two days will ever be the same.
Responsibilities
Maintain an intimate knowledge of our beer, our story, and our values
Be persistent and enjoy the challenge of building for the long-term—our customers are won through trust, not flashy sales tactics.
Build lasting partnerships with roughly 200-250 customers, maintaining a regular physical presence and consistent communication
Proactively call on our existing customers to advise and anticipate when orders are needed
Identify new opportunities and maintain a pipeline of prospects, tracking and reporting on progress
Troubleshoot draft or service issues
Collaborate with production and operations teammates to effectively communicate inventory and availability of beers
Provide a weekly plan and recap of your activity in the field
Give consistent feedback to management on wins and struggles to improve the brewery’s success in your territory
Create and maintain a positive and welcoming environment at all times
Maintain records in CRM database with communication, contact info, and delivery information
Work with accounting team to troubleshoot AR issues and ensure customers are paying on-time
Conduct occasional tastings and events in the assigned territory
Requirements
Must be 21 years of age or older at the time of application
Have a valid driver’s license, insurance, and clean driving record
Must have a reliable vehicle capable of driving 100-200 miles per week
Must live within or in close proximity of assigned territory
Willingness to visit customers in both early mornings and evening
Preferred Skills
2+ years experience in beverage sales or similar sales roles
Able to lift, push and/or pull up to 160lbs and able to regularly bend/squat/reach
Strong organizational and multi-tasking capabilities
Strong communication skills: verbal, listening and written
Capable of seeking out new ideas, show initiative, and be proactive
Knowledge and passion for beer and understanding of the beverage industry
Compensation
Base Salary + Commission with OTE of $60-85k/annually
